I noticed a problem at my SMTP-Server which accepts only mail with the format "Recipent
Name" <eMail-Adress> only. I tried to use the email-adress only and it didn't work
out.
An example:
220 smtp.my-server.com ESMTP Postfix
helo you
250 smtp.my-server.com
mail from: me@my-domain.com
501 Bad address syntax
mail from: <me@my-domain.com>
250 Ok
quit
221 Bye
So i used the "<" and ">" in the FROM-Field.
<?php
mail("<".$email.">", $mailsubject, $mailtext,"From:
<".$mailfrom.">\r\nX-Mailer: PHP/".phpversion());
?>
Maybe it helps you to track the problem if your script sends an email and it wouldn't arrive at
the recipents mailbox.
