There's also one other problem I've found with fpassthru: I have a HTML page containing a Windows Media Player, which requests video files (between 10-100MB) like this: <param name="fileName" value="get-video.php?video_update=56&video=278"> When requested, get-video.php reads the file using fopen and sends the file contents to the player using fpassthru. This usually works. But somtimes the player's progress bar will do the following: Loaded 10%, 25%, 50%, 10%, 2%, 70%, 35%. In other words, the percentage loaded sometimes goes down rather than up. If the video file is requested with a direct link (www.domain.com/videos/video-278.wmv) then this doesn't happen. I've set script_timeout to 0, but the problem still remains. ---- Manual Page -- http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.fpassthru.php Edit -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=edit+48245 Delete -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+48245&report=yes Reason: bad code -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+48245&report=yes&reason=bad+code Reason: spam -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+48245&report=yes&reason=spam Reason: useless example -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+48245&report=yes&reason=useless+example Reason: contains commercial links -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+48245&report=yes&reason=contains+commercial+links Reason: useless note -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+48245&report=yes&reason=useless+note Reject -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=reject+48245&report=yes Search -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php
