There's also one other problem I've found with fpassthru:
I have a HTML page containing a Windows Media Player, which requests video files (between 10-100MB)
like this:
<param name="fileName"
value="get-video.php?video_update=56&video=278">
When requested, get-video.php reads the file using fopen and sends the file contents to the player
using fpassthru. This usually works. But somtimes the player's progress bar will do the
following:
Loaded 10%, 25%, 50%, 10%, 2%, 70%, 35%.
In other words, the percentage loaded sometimes goes down rather than up. If the video file is
requested with a direct link
(www.domain.com/videos/video-278.wmv) then this doesn't happen. I've set script_timeout to
0, but the problem still remains.
