note 48667 added to function.session-name

How many times do I have to read the words "alphanumeric" and "only" before they stick? If you put anything else in the session name, for example a dot, then the cookie will be sent, the session will be saved, BUT the cookie will not be recovered and so a new session will start each time. I lost 9 hours over this.
