note 48667 deleted from function.session-name by tularis

Note Submitter: paul dot compton at berlin dot de ---- How many times do I have to read the words "alphanumeric" and "only" before they stick? If you put anything else in the session name, for example a dot, then the cookie will be sent, the session will be saved, BUT the cookie will not be recovered and so a new session will start each time. I lost 9 hours over this. So, just in case anybody else out there is as stupid as me....
