Found out how to compile openssl in php 4.3.x , the path of the config file is :
<php4.3.x-src>\main\php_config.h.in then change the lines :
#undef COMPILE_DL_OPENSSL
#undef HAVE_OPENSSL_EXT
to
#define COMPILE_DL_OPENSSL
#define HAVE_OPENSSL_EXT
Not much documentation on this, i found out on a french website.
