Note Submitter: interlace/progressive scan clarification

progressive scan = line by line, like a DVD or TV image display;
interlace = fullscreen at low-res, then overlaying higher-res as downloaded. JPEG2k supports
interlacing but I guess PHP doesn't yet and hence resorts to prog. scan - although a little
confusing its still better than having to wait for all data before displaying it onscreen.
