After my recent post on this topic of the manual, I received several inquiries asking exactly what
had I done in httpd.conf to add a directory to the directories apache would serve up. Here is the
detail:
Alias /projects "f:/projects"
<Directory "f:/projects">
Options Indexes FollowSymLinks MultiViews ExecCGI
AddHandler cgi-script .cgi .pl .exe
AllowOverride ALL
Order deny,allow
Deny from ALL
Allow from 127.0.0.1
</Directory>
Of course, change the "f:/projects" to the directory of your choice.
I leave it as an exercise to the reader to figure out what all this means. See: http://www.apache.com. They have a good manual to study.
