here is a function for converting all turkish letters to lowercase, which the standard strtolower()
doesn't do correctly according to locale settings:
function strtolowertr($str)
{
$turk = array("Â", "Ç", "Ð", "I", "Ý",
"Î", "Ö", "Þ", "Ü", "Û");
$lwrtr = array("â", "ç", "ð", "ý", "i",
"î", "ö", "þ", "ü", "û");
$str = str_replace($turk, $lwrtr, $str);
return strtolower($str);
}
