If you're trying to recompile php from a custom GD lib to the built in GD lib you may run in to make errors regarding undefined functions. This may be due to the configure script having already found system gd.h's and still using them and annoyingly a make clean on it's own doesn't always fix it. To get around the problem do the following in the php source path: #locate gd.h /usr/local/include/gd.h ...etc... #mv /usr/local/include/gd.h /usr/local/include/gd.h.old ... and any other gd.h's around... #make clean #./configure --with..... add args here #make #make install #mv /usr/local/include/gd.h.old /usr/local/include/gd.h ... and any other gd.h.old's you created above...
