Hi,
I have been to the first session of the PHP Forum in Paris today. All in
all, it has been an interesting day. I have noted two things that might be
of interest:
1. Zend Studio can create inline documentation that is not completely
compatible with current php doc parsers because of a @desc tag (instead of
no tag currently). It would be nice to add this option to current php doc
parsers.
2. Zeev made a presentation of Zend Engine 2. It looks like this version
will solve many of the problems I have met with the Config class, thanks to
the new way it handles references (now it's possible to compare objects
references) and recursions. It also accepts default values for args passed
as references, this was a must have for my Config class.
As a conclusion, I think I will finish a version of Config for PHP4 ZE1 then
start a new branch to a ZE2 version.
The future of PHP looks cool !
(I just wish they would implement delegation...).
