Idea/Suggestion: IP validation/manipulation class?

Just looking over some old and recent contribution to the manual notes, I gather that some need code for IP address validation and manipulation (v4 for now, v6 in the future I guess). There are some classes/functions around (saw some at Hotscripts.com), but nothing like the nice Net-IP from CPAN. Anyone wants to write a class like that? I have almost zero clue with respect to networking and such, so I will not volunteer. Ideas/pointers/raised-hands-volunteering-to-write-the-class? ===== --- Jesus M.
