I'm not volunteering, but I do have a suggestion. Porting from perl is not too hard. Many of the function calls are very similar and the language structure is very close as well. Usually just working with twoo open windows with the perl package as a template should do you fine.
Anyone wants to write a class like that? I have almost zero clue with respect to networking and such, so I will not volunteer. Ideas/pointers/raised-hands-volunteering-to-write-the-class?
