phpDocumentor 1.2.0rc1 release soon - peardoc2 testing needed ASAP

Hi all, We've fixed all the major issues in the core of phpDocumentor, and have left two bugs that apply to minor things in the phpedit template, and an unverified bug related to file handling under unusual circumstances. That leaves us with only 1 major flaw in the 1.2.0 release. The XML:DocBook/peardoc2:default converter still has not generated a satisfactory output for the make of peardoc. I wrote this converter specifically and ONLY for the use of you, our fellow PEAR developers. If this feature is not useful, I am going to abandon it in 7 days, and wait for interest to appear before I devote any more effort to it. So, speak up if you would like to see the peardoc2 converter in phpDocumentor, and if so, give it a test run. Here are some basic instructions: 1) get phpDocumentor from anonymous CVS, there are some bugfixes of problems in 1.2.0beta3 that will affect most users. Instructions are at http://www.phpdoc.org 2) create an .ini file by copying testdocbook.ini and change these lines: defaultcategoryname=<peardoc2categoryalllowercase> defaultpackagename=<PackageName> directory=/path/to/cvs/source target=/path/to/peardoc2/en/package Also, make sure pear=on 3) from the command-line run: phpdoc -c testdocbook 4) do ./configure followed by make all to test the output. 5) post any bugs (including output, if possible) to the bug page at sourceforge.net, http://phpdocu.sourceforge.net/bugs.php 6) rejoice when I fix them, and we release 1.2.0rc1. :) Regards, Greg -- phpDocumentor http://www.phpdoc.org
