SOAP uses the port you are currently on when making client calls to a remote server (eg: if your viewing http://127.0.0.1:8080/ and calling a SOAP to http://soapserver.com/ the call to soapserver is port 8080.
Secondly Archive::Tar calculates completely random numbers for checksum under Solaris (may be 64bit issue).
