PHP5 will has a lot of new intropsection capability, and the tokenizer will tokenize comments. The combination will allow me to write a script that can figure out from the class and from the comments what the right stuff is. That will make it relatively 'easy' to write a wsdl generator for php. On a side note, I commited last night the SOAP_DISCO class which provides wsdl generation capabilities. There is an example in the examples directory. ShaneWell, a script that uses get_class_methods() would be a start, but there aren't any PHP functions to get the argument list for a class's methods, so you'd still need to do a fair amount of work manually. PHP5 may change things. What about a tool that takes a PHP class and generates a WSDL file? It would be cool if I could create a SOAP server, register some methods, and then get it to spit out a WSDL file for that server. I know it may be hard to do, for example, since PHP doesn't make you specify variable types, etc, but something that at least generates a starting point could save time and simplify matters.
