Hi I'm totally against breaking BC of HTTP_Request. Even with a 2.0 release.. Do avoid bloat: couldn't it be possible to make your code an extension to HTTP_Request (either with extending or somehow else )? I'm currently very busy with other stuff, so I can't invest much time in trying to merge both codes... But a solution to it would be very appreciated :) chregu On Mon, 2003-05-05 at 15:29, Stefan Walk wrote: > Hi! > > I'd like to propose a new Package for the HTTP Category, > HTTP_Download. > > It allows you to download files over HTTP, reading their size prior to > downloading them (The URL fopen wrappers don't do that), and reading > them part-by-part, so you can watch the progress (The existing package > HTTP_Request stores the complete response in an Response object right > when sending the request).
