Hi!
I think you mention a very important point:
Most of the PHP-Code, i read on the web, in archives and so on,... is fully
functional programmed. I miss some good OO-designed staff. I think OO is the
only way, to create big application, which fulfill the criteria of
maintaince, reusability and all the other things...
But a comment about your forum-project:
When you want to make a good OO-libary for forums, then i would wait to
PHP5, because then you will have a lot more concepts for OO programming,
which are very important (e.g. Exceptions...). So you don´t have to think
about PEAR specifica then.
