I'm not sure what the problem is with the PEAR release, but i see greg did a 1.2.0a release so im guessing that has the missing file in it.
It doesn't actually, but following Jesus' advice below and copying utilities.php from CVS and creating the folder 'includes' that it resides in solves the problem. The Directory Browser also seems to have some issues with incorrect paths to images. Great release by the way, the new web interface is pretty impressive :-) cheers Demian
As for the CVS problem we moved servers so some stuff got changed, anonymous cvs should be working, but i didn't get the accounts moved for people who had ssh write access so if you were one of them email and i'll get your account in working order again. -joshua eichorn Jesus M. Castagnetto wrote:
Indeed the tarball has that file missing. I am using not using the web interface but the command line 'phpdoc' command, and that works w/o a hitch. Just copying the one I got from an old CVS checkout (for some reason the CVS server for PhpDocumentor seems fubared now), makes the stuff go away. You can also get it from: http://cvs.joshuaeichorn.com/cvs.php/phpdoc/docbuilder/includes --- Patrick O'Lone <polone@townnews.com> wrote:
I'm getting an error when I actually try to run this from the web: Warning: main(/usr/local/lib/php/PhpDocumentor/docbuilder/includes/utilities.php) : failed to open stream: No such file o r directory in /usr/local/lib/php/PhpDocumentor/docbuilder/actions.php on line 16 It appears this file is missing from the PEAR package. The new PEAR package PhpDocumentor-1.2.0 (stable) has been released at http://pear.php.net/. Release notes ------------- The first stable release through PEAR of phpDocumentor Features: - New tokenizer-based parser is literally twice as fast as the old parser (requires PHP 4.3.0+) - New external user-level manual parsing and generation allows cross-linking between API docs and DocBook-format tutorials/manuals! - Highlight Parsing and cross-referencing with documentation of source code in HTML, and PDF with customizable templating - New Configuration files simplify repetitive and complex documentation tasks - Brand new extensive manual - which can be generated directly from the source using makedocs.ini! - Many improvements to in-code API documentation including new tags, and better handling of in-code html tags - CHM and PDF converters are both beta quality - New XML:DocBook/peardoc converter makes generating PEAR manual formats easy for PEAR developers along with the --pear command-line switch - Many new HTML templates, all of them beautiful thanks to Marco von Ballmoos - A brand new web interface thanks to Andrew Eddie! ************************************************************** ********* phpDocumentor != PHPDoc Do not use "pear install PHPDoc" if you want phpDocumentor, use "pear install PhpDocumentor" the two tools are completely separate. ************************************************************** ********* for PEAR users, the new --pear command-line switch will be a boon. Leave it on by default if your package follows PEAR coding and directory naming standards The peardoc2 converter has been moved to an extension of the DocBook converter, to use, the command-line has changed from XML:DocBook:peardoc2 to XML:DocBook/peardoc2:default. We have removed the HTML:default converter entirely, use HTML:frames. This will fix the last of the persistent windows installation bugs. Package Info ------------- The phpDocumentor tool is a standalone auto-documentor similar to JavaDoc written in PHP. It differs from PHPDoc in that it is MUCH faster, parses a much wider range of php files, and comes with many customizations including 11 HTML templates, windows help file CHM output, PDF output, and XML DocBook peardoc2 output for use with documenting PEAR.
