As i said, if you add a special value in the options array this attribute
will be added.
It's not needed to unserialize, but it would be nice if a boolean stays a
boolean and will not end up being a string "1".

See the above. Although PHP is loosely typed, you still can (and often
should) keep an eye on the type of a variable.
