Thanks for the side notes. I will consider integrating MDB. I do not plan to get involved in the development of LiveUser. Nevertheless your idea of a LiveUser auth container that uses PEAR::Auth is great! Ya, and the beta was just wishful thinking - sorry for that :) But what about my original question? I'd really love to get some feedback on RSD. Just a side note without answering your original question: You may want to look at MDB for abstraction. This package would make it possible for to write much more portable applications with your tool. MDB allows the abstraction of datatypes as well for example. Furthermore MDB has a manager which allows you to define your database schemas in XML, which you can then use to insert the schema in any support RDBMS. I am working on separating the Manager from MDB though so in the future you can use it along with DB as well for example. Also regarding Auth and LiveUser: It would be cool if you could write a container for LiveUser that would use Auth. Then LiveUser would get all the nice backends that Auth supports with minimal effort. Finally you list LiveUser as beta on your site. Its currently still alpha with a beta lurking around the corner though. Regards, Lukas
