At http://www.joeysmith.com/~joey/Netmask.php
you'll find the beginnings
of a class that basically copies the perl Net::Netmask feature set (although
it doesn't yet do ALL of the things that class does). It seems like something
that may belong in PEAR, but I don't have the time nor the inclination to
shepherd it through that process, nor to maintain it if it gets accepted.
It could use a lot of cleanup, and there's a list of functions at the top that
would need to be implemented to completely replace Net::Netmask from perl, but
what I have does some stuff I hear people asking about quite frequently.
It's up for grabs. If anyone wants to take it over, a simple reply to this message
would be appreciated so that I don't always wonder what happened with it. I'm
not on pear-dev, so I would appreciate being cc'd.
I've got gobs of code in this state, so make sure to mention if you'd be interested
in more of these at a future date, or if I'm just generating noise on pear-dev
