Hope you don't forget about all the holidays you had when you've
worked through all the mails. Seems like this sometimes to me when I
return home *g*

No problem. Altogether and public (on the list) is fine with me.

Well, yes and no. It's not an "initial position" like giving "it
start at this or that pixel". You just have to give it a relative
left and top at 0px. But using that it works fine, doesn't it? And if
you move the div somewhere else it still works fine - since the
position is relative.
What do you think about the layer-solution? Wouldn't this generally
be a good idea since I believe layers are more well-implemented in
all browsers than DOM-changes are? Taking Opera 6 as an example ...
This way you could drop all dom-code ... or am I wrong? Have you had
time to review the proposal in depth?

What do you mean? It basically needs the small addition like
mentioned before. And afaik you can put it in a table or somewhere
and the relative div still works. That's what I found out.
Could you make your thoughts mentioned in the last paragraph a bit
more clearer, please?

Hmm, have a look. Just thought layers are more straight-forward for
being browser-independent than DOM is. Have a look and see how it
fits.

Would appreciate that.
