Yes I think this package is great ! I don't think dhtml_TreeMenu + Tree or
db_nestedSet have the same goals (classical menus for sites managed by a
CMS).
I use it currently for building all my menus (tree, urhere, prevnext,
sitemap...) in public websites (exemples : http://argalys.com
http://brises.org ...).
I've extended it by mylsef to permit design (graphics and styles) with a
config file (each level / num in level... can have is html code + css +
graphics). The menus are built from database (id/parent_id table -> menu
array) so my users can add/drop/move item menus in a my content management
system (the menu is dinamically actualized to reflect this changes). But my
code needs a lot of optimization and looks ugly for me. I wish to integrate
it with Tree package to build the menu multidimensionnal array from mySql
(wich was for me the more difficult part to code !!) but can't find the
time.
It would be nice if it could be integrated with Tree pear package for the
source side and some Template package (Flexy esp.) for the output side). But
maybe dhtml_TreeMenu can do the same job with some job ? I don't know.
It's a pity to see a so useful and smart package not maintained !!
So please go ahead :)
