Hi Greg,
thank you for the patch. Although unfortunately I don't have time at
the moment to try it myself I really like what it is supposed to do
(reading your announcement) :-)) This seems a good improvement.
I also wouldn't do auto-dependencie-uninstall as you mentioned in the
last paragraph of your email, since (as far as I understand it) this
might also uninstall "dependencies" that you explicitly wanted to add
to your installation, right? Better leave this out.
But about the uninstall order you mentioned: Could you maybe have a
look at that? Something like:
"when I want to throw an error because of missing dependencies check
if that dependencie is also uninstalled" or such.
