Hi
There are already 2 different Cache "Classes" in PEAR.
Therefore the usual questions:
What makes your approach so differnt to be included in PEAR in contrast to the others? What's the difference to the existing ones? Can't you merge your effort with one of the others?

Well, it is a very small and easy to handle system. As we could call ~200 lines of code a "system".
Cache_Lite is roughly 300 LOC (without comments)
And I'm sure there are many users still having problems with the implementation of the existing cache packages. Mostly there are (correct me if i'm wrong) just selfmade classes which are rough ported to PEAR, without real examples and helpfull documentation.
PEAR::Cache was written from scratch more or less just for PEAR. It may be overkill for some cases, but has certainly it's purpose.
So even if the existing packages are good, the problem is to tell the people how to use it without a good manual. That's one thing I'd like to change ;)
Then write documentation to the existing packages ;) having a new package, just 'cause the old ones do not have enough documentation, doesn't cut a deal with me... chregu
