OK,
I have a dilemma. There are several bugfixes in CVS that would warrant a 1.2.2.
If I commit my changes, it will automatically move the stability of HEAD to alpha from stable, as it is new code, with the standard not yet completely worked out on how it should interface to the user. I of course have my ideas, but we've only heard feedback from non-core developers and Tomas. Is that enough support to commit them and do a development release?
Should there instead be a 1.2.2 release with the bugfixes that are in CVS, and then start work on 1.3b1?
My main frustration in this is that I have not been given any (practical) options to get the code tested, and I would like to commit only working, tested code to HEAD. I feel like a character in a book by Joseph Heller.
:)
