Read the docs, it's a drop in replacement for Net_Socket. The Net_Curl interface is nothing like Net_Socket. I did look at using Net_Curl when creating Net_Socket_Curl but it plays on what I see as PHP's shortcomings by not providing accessors to object variables. Even a set_opt() method (no camel humps here) would clean this up but I'm not the maintainer and I don't write PHP unless someone makes me :)
Cheers,
Shane

How is this different from Net_Curl? The story is an admin I know couldn't get openssl to play nice with PHP's socket so I quickly wrote Net_Socket_Curl as a replacement for Net_Socket to use with HTTP_Request so that we could make SSL requests to a server.
