Request for comments on Unitests for Net_FTP

Hi all! I wanted to start creating a Unitest for Net_FTP today and for that read the tutorial about PHPUnit on the manual. My problem is, that I don't know, if a Unitest is valueable for this class. In fact the user needs a functioning FTP server for testing, files to up and download a.s.o. What do you guys think of that?
