Current maintainer grants maintainer-rights also to you (you need a
pear-account for that), making you a full maintainer. Later he may
surely drop his down proviledged or stay as "helper" or something -
doesn't matter.
So if you arrange with the current maintainer it's pretty easy.
Who's gonna take it? Stephan volunteered for the package, I did ...
hmm ...
Well Ken, if you maybe already have ideas on how to improve the
package I, from my side, would suggest you take it.
