This was also included in the patch I submitted for Auth_IMAP some time ago.
I send the patch to Yavor aswell(mailed on 30-8-2003), but from what I can
see in the CVS this patch hasn't been applied yet. The patch made those
checks optional, and made SSL connections to the IMAP server possible. If
anyone wants it, I can send the patch to them, but I'm still waiting for
Yavor to apply the patch to the CVS, and, hopefully, release a new version
of it sometime soon :)
