Can you you apply the patch on the latest cvs copy of IMAP and send me the full file, i don't have patch util on my machine and applying patches is kinda hard.
sorry for the delay btw i totally forgot about that one. also i assume the check erver option would be off by default.

The patch made those checks optional, and made SSL connections to the IMAP server possible.
