I usually celebrate my birthday in honor of myself, in commemoration of the
day I was born, and I've been told it's a very amusing day, specially when my
friends manage to get me drunk.
But somehow that hasn't convinced any of my former employers to give me the
day off :)

<quote>
1 : HOLY DAY [not what most people understand for holiday nowadays]
2 : a day on which one is exempt from work; specifically : a day marked by a
general suspension of work in commemoration of an event
3 chiefly British : a period of relaxation : VACATION -- often used in the
phrase on holiday; often used in plural [not really a day]
