[PROPOSAL] Package: SMS (send and recieve SMS through connected cellular device)

Hi PEARers! I'm currently working on some SMS sending and recieving stuff and evaluated some CLI based SMS utilities. Gammu (http://freshmeat.net/projects/gammu/?topic_id=861%2C247) is a powerfull commandline tool supporting variouse cellular devices (phones and PCI cards) using variouse hardware connections (serial port, IRDA, Bluetooth). Gammu features a huge ammount of features (like sending and recieving flashing SMS, ringtones, logos, v-cards,...), from which currently only a trickle of those features, which are as follows: - Get device info - Get SMS from phone - Delete SMS - Send SMS - Send flashing SMS More features will definitly follow, when I have a more usefull phone as a Nokia 6150. Maybe someone of you can test that with another phone? Here are the sources: Code: http://www.schlitt.info/SMS/SMS.phps Example: http://www.schlitt.info/SMS/index.phps While I do not think, that anyone of you has just a mobilephone connected to his web server, you can send an sms with any content to my mobilenumber (psssst: +491742424223) and request http://zuhause.bei.tobias-schlitt.de/SMS/ to let my server send a flashing SMS with "Hello World!" in it to your phone. (See example!) I hope someone likes that thing! ;) Regards! Toby
