I wrote this little version name generator a few weeks ago for an RFC I
wrote for the pear group. Its by no means endorsed yet .. but I think it
shouldn't produce any bad version names .. maybe it is a bit "too" strict.
Then again it was more a proof of concept then a carefully planned and
tested implementation :-)
