Why not just bundle Error_Raise with HTML_Progress? In other words, include the source code, and have it installed. I would put the files in HTML/Progress/Error/Raise.php, and adjust the include_path. This will end any problems. If Error_Raise is ever accepted, you can do another release with the dependency. Problem solved. Greg Klaus Guenther wrote:

BUT i recommend you to read in particular http://pear.laurent-laville.org/HTML/Progress/Release-1.0 for dependencies list (especially for Error_Raise package; not yet public)
I'm not sure you can release a package with required dependencies on a non-pear package. Of course I'd like to see Greg's Error_* released ASAP, but until it is, I fear we must make due without it. Maybe someone from the pear group can shed some light on this. Klaus
