Windows users have the w32api interface. Using the windows api it's possible to determine
whether a process is still runing.
Currently i've lost the name of the api , but i remember i needed two of them. One to get the
ProcessID of a running process, and one to determine the process status (running, cpu time, memory
usage, etc).

I like the idea of checking processes. It's very useful to notify programs which have to check
if a process is still running (like a webserver, mailserver or if you wan't to check that a
program/service ISN'T running! My database server isn't allowed to run a ftp or mail
server (basic security..). Currently BigBrother is taking care of this, but BB can be overkill
sometimes..

Didn't had the time to take a look at the code..
