This is perfectly normal, I wouldn't worry about it - the change from a RC to final stable should have no change other than state and version name (from 1.0RC2 to 1.0, for example)

I'd like to see its status changed to at least BETA so people can use it without having to worry about major API changes.Making a new release just for changing the state seems odd, but I don't know what others think about that...
