Yeah, Wiki seems to generate either love or hate, and little in between. Me, I like to use the parsing routines for users who want rich text but who balk at HTML proper. It's also nice for page-creation when the link to the created page would be too unwieldy.
(IIRC I looked at it already when you first proposed it.)
