yes, it would be a good idea. New packages can do that easily and old packages modifed as time goes.
This only would happen if there is an extra line at the end of a PEAR file, and in most cases, that probably isn't the case. Why bother to remove it? It's just as easy to not include the extra line.
Agreed with Marshall. I'm also strongly -1 for removing ?> since it is the usual end-tag anf for clean-code-reason shouldn't be omitted, from my view. Just take care of those files having an extra line at the end of the file. Regards, Stefan
