text file is a string of lines, line is a string of characters
ending with the end-of-line sequence. Homesite can (ok, could last
I checked, it was 5.0 or 5.1) only save either "...?>" (not a text
file) or "...?>\r\n\r\n".
Whether the file matches an anal definition is not important,
though. The problem is that different editors behave differently,
and at least vim will append an eol to the file on saving. This
leads to spurious diffs, and *that* is highly undesirable.
