At the same time, things need to get fixed. Well generally I would favour a smoother transition; meaning that the original lead makes the decision and reviews the fixes/additions by the new contributor. If Tomas is unavailable maybe other people can try to take over that role. I can help there but I wouldn't want to take up the entire responsibility. Alan maybe we two can handle this? > I would like to become a maintainer for the DB package. My computer has > MySQL, PostgreSQL, InterBase, Sybase, MS SQL Server and Oracle on it at > the moment. SQLite is coming soon. Thats a very nice list of setups you got there. I assume you are aware of the DB test suite? (BTW you are of course also welcome to run the MDB test suite on your databases .. I am always interested in getting some more feedback) > Here's a list of several bugs I've either opened or posted comments about. > The comments contain patches and/or notes about the reports being > duplicates. > > http://pear.php.net/bugs/bug.php?id=234 > http://pear.php.net/bugs/bug.php?id=361 > http://pear.php.net/bugs/bug.php?id=397 > http://pear.php.net/bugs/bug.php?id=350 > http://pear.php.net/bugs/bug.php?id=49 > http://pear.php.net/bugs/bug.php?id=231 > http://pear.php.net/bugs/bug.php?id=101 > > This request comes in part because it's geting harder and harder to keep > things straight because I'm now running a verison of DB that has patches > on top of patches on top of patches. The list is getting longer and longer (RDF class, LiveUser, MDB2 and now DB) but oh well .. what else are vacations for? :-) Regards, Lukas
