Hi, all, sorry I'm so late to the thread...

I'll take a look at DB_Simple, drive it around the block for a while and check whether DB_OO overlaps with it.

DB_Simple is now DBS (major change is that the name is different, and has split tables and validation into separate classes). You can download a PEAR package for it here:

It does seem that DB_OO and DBS go for the same thing from different directions, although DBS does not do automated class building of any sort; one defines a schema inside an extension of DBS_Table and goes from there. Working on docs for it even now.

With the holidays and all, I'll probably only come up with something after christmas -- there's still a heap of presents to buy, and I left all the difficult ones for the last hour :-P
