[PEPr] Comment on XML::XML_Simple

Stephan Schmidt (http://pear.php.net/user/schst) gives a comment on the proposal for XML::XML_Simple. Comment: Just to clear things up: XML_Simple is not only meant as a backport if simpleXML. Imagine you are a PHP script that lives on a server that has no PHP5 installed and you need to access an XML document. Then XML_Simple is a nice and easy wayto do this. And as an add-on you can switch to simpleXML when your hoster decides to install PHP5. I'm not sure if I should also add an implementation of importDom, as the DOM support in PHP4 is quite buggy, but I'm plannign to integrate XPath support....
