Moreover, PEAR_DelegateOwner is not a fully functioning class in itself. The vast majority of users will subclass it, making it a backbone of projects; it is meant for the developers who develop code for the developers of applications.
It could indeed replace PEAR_Autoloader, which depends on the old overload extension and which is more or less unnecessary with PHP 5.
