Well, it actually works for me... But why? What about the compression? Thanks, anyway!
Let me first say: You can do easily gzip the file you get afterwards - no problem with that :-)) nice to know, I'll check that, too ;-)
The source for the problem has been long time hidden. But after several month now the Debian people found out that the problem is in the source-code and the way they compile the libs. Therer method for compilation is "the new standard", however they got a problem just because of their way of compilation. They're now on it to fix the problem at it's root - but this shouldn't be too easy I heared. Other distributions still compile the "convetional" way - so that's no problem for them. For more details have a look at my email from two weeks ago on pear- dev: http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=pear-dev&m=107747715727012&w=2 oops, ok, thank god that the reason wasn't "You're just too stupid" ;-)
I have to say it was the first time I packaged something, and now it works fine, thank you once again! I just took the last minutes to package an own little project by using the PackageFileManager and a modified version from the package.php of MDB2. It is really a nice tool. Without any headache I think I will package some own stuff, now. And, who knows, maybe someday I can propose something of it ;-) Regards, Matthias
