Yes, you are correct. However I believe this would be know different to the way in which DB works i believe. There are definetely times when it is not viable to do it in this way, however, there are times when it makes things alot easier and alot more straightforward to do it in this manner.I have proposed (but not yet called for votes on) DB_Table, which may or may not address your needs. It is table-based, not data-object based. You may wish to take a look at the proposal here: http://pear.php.net/pepr/pepr-proposal-show.php?id=14 The DB_Table::select() method maps directly to DB::get*() as determined by your SQL properties. In addition, you can use DB_Table::selectResult() to get a DB_Result object instead of an array. Finally, it automatically builds forms based on your table schema.
