What is the maintenance status of the XML-RPC package? It seems to be in maintenance mode, with bugfixes only. The features presented by Gillaume Lecanu are important, and something XML_RPC badly needs. Gillaume, do your improvements break backward compatibility with XML_RPC? Is there a chance of integrating it with the current XML_RPC? Stig Bakken is active on the list -- you should get in touch with him and evaluate collaboration with him as a developer of the main XML-RPC package. XML_RPC also needs the ability to handle conversion between client and server encodings, and it badly needs docs. Cheers, P.S. Thanks for your contribution Gillaume Guillaume Lecanu wrote:
Hi all,
It's my first time on this list, i'm french and my english is not
very good :(
I have made an extension of the XML-RPC package realised by
Edd Dumbill.
This extension adds more simplicity to make or call an
XML-RPC service.( auto-convert PHP data types, set parameters directly in the call function, possibility to write the function service into a separate file ... )
So, i have read every doc about making a new package
for PEAR, but i have a doubt about the folders structure.
This is the structure of XML-RPC package of Edd Dumbill :
/XML/RPC.php /XML/RPC/Server.php
This is my current structure :
/XML/RPC/Easy/Client.php ( XML_RPC_Easy_Client extend XML_RPC ) /XML/RPC/Easy/Server.php ( XML_RPC_Easy_Server extend XML_RPC_Server ) /XML/RPC/Easy/common.php ( common functions for Client & Server )
When i look other packages, i see the class is on the same level of the
folder.
So should my current structure be :
/XML/RPC/Easy.php ( XML_RPC_Easy_Client class ) /XML/RPC/Easy/Server.php ( XML_RPC_Easy_Server class ) /XML/RPC/Easy/common.php ( common functions )
And must my Client class be renamed to XML_RPC_Easy ?
                                                                                                                                                                               Thanks a lot :)
