I'm not taking this personally, how could I, because
Maketext was not my own idea. Jean-Michel, the idea for
Maketext comes from research by Sean M. Burke, who has a MA
in linguistics from Northwestern University and Jordan
Lachler, a PhD student in the Dpt. of Linguistics at
University of New Mexico. Sean M. Burke, who has developed
the Perl Module Locale::Maketext, is also a major
contributor to CPAN, the Perl equivalent of PEAR.

You mention Chinese and I can assure you, Locale::Maketext
IS being used for Chinese. Autrijus Tang, a Chinese I18N
geek and also major contributor to CPAN, has written modules
which are extending Locale::Maketext. Would he do so, if the
module wasn't useful in Chinese?

But that is YOUR personal opinion!

Sorry, but this is plain FUD. You make predictions about
something you haven't even tried.

Are you talking about Sean M. Burkes Article? Where does it
say this? Certainly not in the conclusion.

If only one could unify languages as easily as currencies!
