Hi,
I am very busy atm and so I was hoping that someone else could handle this RFC.
Essentially I would like to get an RFC which clears up where packages should install themselves. Specifically enforce the rule that underscores in the class name map to directories and the last word in the class maps to the file name.
This also ties in with the topic of category prefixes and how they affect the package name which was also brought up a while ago (by Toby iirc?).
Example:
Foo_Bar => Foo/Bar.php
Furthermore some thought needs to be made to the current situation that most packages install their tests into:
[PEAR root]/tests/Foo/tests
Dont remember how things are for docs.
Finally some thought needs to be made as to how to deal with existing packages.
regards,
Lukas Smith
